The 09-2X Dynamic is the modern successor of the well proven 09-CSM type machines. It represents the results of long years experience in operation and development of continuous action tamping technology, which provides an increase in tamping performance and quality. The new feature of the 09-2X Dynamic tamping machine are the 2X-sleeper tamping banks, which enable two or one sleeper(s) to be tamped in one operation. The tamping banks are in split design and can be lifted and lowered individually to be able to tamp tracks with irregular sleeper spacings.
This means a wide range of application for the 09-2X Dynamic
- for track maintenance and track renewals work
- as a continuous action two sleeper tamper
- as a continuous action single sleeper tamper
- if required, as a conventional cyclic tamper

The 09-2X Dynamic is designed in compliance with Railway Group Standard GM/RT 2400, issue 2 and all other European Standards relevant to on-track maintenance plant.
